At Villa Heights, we believe every member is a minister and has been called by God to make more and better followers of Jesus. The following is not an exhaustive list of the ministry opportunities we provide. We are also open to helping others achieve the vision of the particular area or form of ministry to which they feel God has called them.
We have Sunday School classes for pre-K through 5th grade, as well as Junior and Wee Worship during the message time on Sunday mornings. On Wednesday evenings we have Just 4 Kidz, our K-5th group time.
Acts 29 Student Ministries
Our student ministry focuses on preparing young men and women (6th-12th) to be the next chapter in God's plan of making disciples of all nations. We offer middle school Sunday School and Wednesday night group, and Sunday morning Scripture reading and Sunday night group for high schoolers.
Women Anchored in Christ
Once a month our ladies gather and share fellowship and food as they draw closer to Christ and to one another. They also partner with our Bright Futures school, Eastmoreland Elementary, in support of the students, staff, faculty, and administration there, as well as other service projects.
VHCC offers several adult small groups. Most take place in people's homes on Sunday evenings, but there are also some that meet at the church and/or on different days and times.
On the second Saturday of every month, our men gather together for a hearty breakfast, solid teaching, and a good dose of the gospel, with a guest speaker bringing the Word.
VHCC has partnered with Eastmoreland Elementary School to help our neighborhood better prepare our community's children to be the next generation to make a difference and create a brighter future.
Bright Futures - Eastmoreland
As a way to connect our seniors to our younger generations, we are beginning a program where older couples can invest in a student for a year through prayer, mentoring, and love.
